Are you about to have a baby and you don't want to buy extra stuff that you won't really use? You are at the right place! In this blog I will refer to the most needed essentials that you should have in your house without wasting extra money.
1. Bedside Cot
This type of crib will save space especially if you live in a small apartment but will also help you with breastfeeding at night.
2. Blanket
Choose a soft and warm baby blanket of good quality to prevent skin irritations and infections.
3. Baby bottles
Bottles with silicone teats will be the best and softest choice for your baby's teeth and skin.
4. Bottle cleaning brush
This type of brush will really help you clean the inside of the bottles without struggling to reach the bottom and sides.
5. Bottle heater
Most of the times, you'll have to store breast milk in the fridge but what happens when it's time to feed your baby? You can use a bottle heater which warms up the milk within super little time.
6. Baby formula milk
The best and most healthy thing to do would be to prefer breastfeeding since it creates a connection between the mom and the baby, but it also provides your little angel all the necessary nutrients. If you deal with problems such as having very little milk, you can always buy formula in addition to the breast milk.
7. Breast pump
If you're not able to breastfeed due to destroyed nipples or you just want to store milk for later, you can have a breast pump and especially an electrical one that will save you time and effort.
8. Stroller 3 in 1
This type of stroller is usually cheap enough with some research. It's super practical and will save you space since it's a stroller for newborns, toddlers and a car seat at the same time!
9. Bag for travelling/walks
It's a must-have when you travel with your baby or you just go out for a walk. You can store bottles with milk, diapers, baby powder and everything else that you might need during that time.
10. Mosquito net for strollers
Since some mosquitos carry diseases and your baby's skin is very sensitive, you'll definately need this net to prevent bites especially during summer time.
11. Nose cleaner
An electrical nose cleaner will make it very easy for you to clean your baby's stuffy nose without causing it pain or disturbance.
12. Baby toys
You will of course need few toys that make sound in order to calm down your baby or spend time with it.
13. Bathtub
It's practical and you can put it anywhere in the house without making everything else wet.
14. Diapers
You will need A LOT of diapers each month. I believe that most of the money you'll spend goes on them.
15. Baby wipes
Another must-have while you change its diaper or to clean its hands and mouth.
16. Towel
Choose a towel made of cotton with big absorption for after shower use.
17. Baby clothes and underwear
The best moment of buying stuff for your little angels is buying clothes. Cotton made clothes will also prevent skin irritations.
18. Gloves
This is something that you should use since birth, because babies usually rub their faces with their hands. In order to prevent scratches and injuries you should always use gloves.
19. Hat
In the cold days of winter, you should always use hats to prevent sickness and flu.
20. Pacifier
Pacifier depends on the baby. Some like it and it calms them down but some don't. This doesn't always mean that you shouldn't have one just in case.
21. Diaper changing matress
If you don't have enough space for a changing table, this matress will be very useful since you can carry it with you when you go out and also put it on the bed.
22. Baby oil
It will moisturize your baby's skin and it will make it soft and smell nice.
23. Baby powder
You will usually use it before you put a new diaper on, to prevent skin irritation which is caused when the diaper gets rubbed on the baby's sensitive skin.
24. Baby shampoo
Johnson's baby shampoo is one of the best brands for your baby, since it's skin friendly and it gives a nice smell.
25. Natural sponge
This type of sponge is the best, since it is very soft for the skin without any chemicals on it.
26. Breastfeeding bra
If you're out for a walk or at home and you're lazy to unlock your bra, then this type of bra will make it so much easier for you to feed your baby fast and without any effort. This is because it unlocks from each front side and then locks back.
27. Breast pads
Breast pads are placed inside each side of your bra to stop the leaking milk from making your bra and shirt wet and dirty.
28. Bath thermometer
This thermometer will help you keep the water's temperature medium, to offer your baby a relaxing bath.
29. Hairbrush
Choose a soft hairbrush that won't irritate your baby's skin on the head.
30. Nail clipper
You can either use clippers or scissors, whatever is more comfortable for you and your little one. It's very important to cut their nails whenever they start growing, to prevent scratches and injuries.
